This is a program to help kids become more involved in the political process and its importance. Strong Start for Children will host future governor elections during a “Step Up for Kids Event”!
This is an opportunity for children to learn about basic campaigning skills in a fun and engaging way while allowing them to interact with their community.
Each year, Step Up for Kids events around the country bring together thousands of people to show widespread support for investments in children and families throughout the country and our state.
These events focus on raising awareness on issues American children face such as:
o Access to early care and learning programs
o Access to after-school programs
o Poverty
o Child Abuse and Neglect
o Health Care
